Adding a ConX-SFP to the Wetatronics Portal
This guide walks you through creating a portal account, connecting your ConX-SFP device, and claiming it in the portal.
Step 1 — Create an account
Go to https://portal.wetatronics.com/ and click Create account, then follow the prompts.
Step 2 — Connect your ConX-SFP to the portal
Log in to the ConX-SFP CLI. Find its IP address via LLDP or your DHCP server.
Default credentials: username
weta· passwordwetatronics
ssh weta@<ip-address>
Set the portal URL, enable auto-reconnect, save, and connect:
config portal url devices.wetatronics.com 443
config portal reconnect on
system save
portal connect
Note: The first portal connection takes 30–40 seconds.
Once connected, note the MAC address from the CLI:

Step 3 — Claim the device in the portal
- Log in to the portal and click + Add Device.
- Enter the MAC address from above.
- Copy the claim code displayed in the portal and run it in the CLI:
portal claim BFGLYB
Your device will now appear in the portal.
Next steps in the portal
- Name your device
- Configure the serial ports
- Test remote access
